Grey’s Anatomy finale on Thursday night was way more heart-pounding and suspenseful than last season’s finale by far! Blood bath mania – yep!
We all know from the previews this past week that a shooter entered the hospital. The shooter is non other than Mr. Clark, whose wife died under the hospital’s care. It was Dr. Shepard that ordered Clark’s wife to come off of life support. Clark’s mission - “an eye for an eye”.
The hospital was on lockdown – no one was to move from floor to floor.
Grey’s was 2 hours of watching Clark slowly wind his way through the hospital, shooting the surgeons one by one as he played “hide-and-go-seek”.
Alex Karev – shot in the elevator but found by Mark Sloan and Lexie Grey, saving his life.
Dr. Reed Adamson shot and killed.
The previews lead us to believe Miranda Bailey is going down. She was pulled out from under the hospital bed by the shooter, but her life was sparred as she told Clark she was a nurse and not a surgeon.
Dr. Percy, who was hiding in the back room was shot and later died after attempt from Dr. Bailey to get him to the ER failed.
Clark, the shooter found Dr. Shepherd and after Shepherd tried talking him out of shooting him, Clark shot Sheppard right beside his heart. It was up to Dr. Meredith Grey and Dr. Yang to get him to the OR for surgery. Oh yeah, and Dr. Grey is pregnant with Sheppard.
Dr. Torres and Dr. Robbins were both stuck in Pediatrics together, fighting back and forth about their relationship. The shooter, Clark had made his way up there, after being shot by police force that had made their way in. Dr. Torres handed him bandages to stop the bleeding and told him to leave – they’re safe.
Back to Sheppard’s shot wound. Yang has to operate. While Sheppard’s on the operating table, Dr. Hunt makes his way in the OR to find Mr. Clark standing over the surgeons and Dr. Shepherd. Clark demands they stop operating on him. Hunt goes for the gun but gets shot. The surgeons unplug Shepherd’s heart monitor so it’s a flat-line. Clark is tricked into thinking Shepherd died.
Hunt’s o.k., he’s taken away by Meredith to be repaired. Meredith has a miscarriage as she’s trying to repair Hunt’s wound.
Where was Dr. Webber? He was stuck outside of the hospital, but finally made his way in near the end. Webber tracked down Clark, who was found sitting alone with one bullet left in his gun. It was between Clark and Webber. Who got the bullet? Webber convinced Clark to take his own life so he could be with his wife again. Done. Clark’s gone.
Dr. Robbins and Torres get back together, and Dr. Hunt chooses to be with Yang. Lexie will always love Karev and vowed never to leave him, while Sloan’s chance of getting back with Lexie fizzled during the hospital drama.
