I thought Roddick was very gracious in his interviews, especially considering the unfair bias directed to Murray after the semi final.
Personally I cant stand Hewitt for his bad attitude too though.
Remember Hewitt calling his opponent, a spastic, once!thumbdown
I didnt watch, purely because Roddick was playing. I cant handle his arrogance...on court and in interviews.
OK, you can shoot me now, but I say the same about Hewitt for the same reasons. Federer is a true gentleman, and I'm glad he won
I've never found Roddick to be very arrogant at all... now Djokovic on the other hand, he's another story altogether.
yes:mad
The only player who can/could get away with being a brat was McEnroe:thumbup
He was priceless:24:
Roddick seemed gracious enough in defeat, acknowledging that Federer deserves all he gets etc.
However, at one point I did sense a touch of something or another when after the match during the trophy presentation interviews that Federer was trying to engage Roddick in some empathy by saying that he had been there the previous year with regards to the 5 set heartbreak of losing and that he knew how Roddick felt.
You could hear Roddick in the background saying 'but you've won it 5 times man' a couple of times as if to suggest Federer couldn't possibly know how Roddick was feeling. Federer has said that he's been there before and tries to be humble but you can tell from last years final that Wimbledon is the big one for him, the one that means the most.
