has anyone seen this yet? i thought it was utterly amazing! i cried, i laughed, i worried. it has basically everything in this movie - drama, suspense, comedy, romance, EVERYTHING.

hands down the best movie of 2009 so far - and one of the best ones i've seen in a very long time.
+1,000. Just saw this the other day & it blew me away.

I was expecting it to be good, but it totally caught me off guard.

Yea, the ending, thanks for reminding me, it sucked. It was so sudden. I was expecting a movie shoot out where clint pulls out a gun, and shoots every asian in the house...

but no...

That was his brilliance as a director and story teller. He knew he had a background that you were expecting to pop out. Surprise! And an excellent story, although I'm still considering how realistic the ending was, as in who would really choose to do this? :humm:

I really liked Unforgiven by Eastwood because it was not your typical gun fighter movie. It showed regret at killing and how messy a gun fight could be. The ending in that movie involved lots of shooting. :)

I saw the movie in theaters, too, and I loved it.
I wasn't too keen on the ending, though.
One of my first thoughts afterwards, though, was that some of the older people that were just going to see a Clint Eastwood movie were probably going to be put off by the frequent usage of the F and P words. LOL

I took my grandma and even though she made a sour face every time the f word was said, she really liked the movie

I think at her age she has learned to look past the shit

The best Clint ever. I live in Detroit too -- it was awesome to see the city as it really is -- from Grosse Pointe at the end (with the kid driving by the lake), to the neighborhood Walt lived in.

Great flick

Just watched it. Best new film I've seen for ages and if this isn't Clint Eastwood's best film ever, it comes a very close second to Unforgiven. :clap
