has anyone seen this yet? i thought it was utterly amazing! i cried, i laughed, i worried. it has basically everything in this movie - drama, suspense, comedy, romance, EVERYTHING.

hands down the best movie of 2009 so far - and one of the best ones i've seen in a very long time.

Absolutely loved it. Had hilarious parts as well as very sad parts. Eastwood was amazing. The only complaint I have is the acting of the guy who played Thao. One certain part was dreadful. Made me cringe the acting was so awful.

Went to the theather this week to see it. Even tho the critics seem to be split on their decisions, I think it's one of Eastwood's best. It is filled with emotion, from laughter to tears.

I highly recommend it.

I Red boxed it last week and I too absolutely loved it. Solid in my top 5.
I was surprised how much I loved it. From the description in the Red Box, "disgruntled korean war vet takes in the boy next door", I didn't think I would care for it. Wrong.

When the movie was over, I had the weirdest feeling. Maybe like the tingle that Olbermann and Matthews get when Obama speaks. I was smiling really big through a really hard frown at the sadness of it all.

Here's the description from redbox.com:

A disgruntled Korean War vet, Walt Kowalski (Eastwood), sets out to reform his neighbor, a young Hmong teenager, who tried to steal Kowalski's prized possession: his 1972 Gran Torino.

Yeah, I'm with you on that one.

I definitely DID NOT tear up though. Not at all. Not even a little.

I saw it in theater's. It was a sweet movie.
I may have learned about 504040 new racist words, but hey, who doesnt want to do that.

I do think this was one of the first Eastwood flims i have ever seen (the only one i mean), and I loved it.
I dont think they could have found a better old man to portray a raciest.

5/5

I saw the movie in theaters, too, and I loved it.
I wasn't too keen on the ending, though.
One of my first thoughts afterwards, though, was that some of the older people that were just going to see a Clint Eastwood movie were probably going to be put off by the frequent usage of the F and P words. LOL

Yea, the ending, thanks for reminding me, it sucked. It was so sudden. I was expecting a movie shoot out where clint pulls out a gun, and shoots every asian in the house...

but no...
