I thought of you today
There was a Christian Bookstore I drove past and it said "2 Day Sale"
And the first thing that popped into my head was "I wonder if it's going away Friday and coming back on Sunday???"
Ok I'm really going to put myself out there. DON'T MAKE FUN OF ME. I don't get the joke, you are going to have to explain.
That said, I'm glad there are folks out there thinking of me.

you know there is a church in new york that is lead by Tammy Fae and Jim Baker's son...i htink i would really really like it there. Everyone is all tatted up and ex drug addicts and stuff.

It is not lead by Tammy Faye. It is dedicated to her by her son Jay. Tammy died this last week which broke my heart as she was a wonderful, wonderful lady in what she stood for - unconditional love. Jay Bakker leads a church called Revolution. It is in 3 cities. New York, Atlanta, and I think the other is in North Carolina somewhere. For the most part Jay preaches a strictly 'grace based' message. And as you know by my name I am all for grace. I do not believe Jay has fully developed himself in the Word of God as there is a balance between God's grace and God's law. I do however think that he is reaching many people in love and helping them see the love of Christ and I love him for that.

i know i meant it was lead bytheir son i just couldnt remember his name! I like his ideas, i for one know a LOT of people who would go back to church if they felt accepted...I am one of those people...traditional church is just not for me. I really think his approach is much needed in this country.

I agree with you soooooooooooooooooo much!
I don't go to a traditional church. My church is full of harley riders, tattoo'd up people, ex drug addicts, you name it. Everyone there is still not perfect in their walk with Christ, but they are truly trying. Our walk is never perfected until the day we die. But everyone in my church is REAL. Real people, trying to lay down their selfish pride, admit their faults and really working on their walk with the Lord. My church rocks! We even play the electric guitar and drums ... have rock concerts on sunday mornings. A lot of people would probably think we going to hell. But I couldn't feel closer to Christ if I tried. Well that isn't true, but you know what I mean.
Wish you lived near by, I'd take you to church with me. You'd have a blast! Our women's retreat coming up is going to be a hoot for sure!
