I think I'm a typical northeasterner... I'm fairly pale in the colder months, but when I get the chance to lay out in the sun I get a nice tan. In fact, I wish I could be tan all year round because I think I look way better tan.

I'm exactly the same, very pale in the winter, but I tan easily and I look better with one :)

Completely turned off even trying fake tan to sustain the look though, my sister went through a phase of trying every kind in existence and after seeing how bad it can go, I think I'll just put up with the lack of sun for half the year :p

I can tan fairly well, depending on how long I'm outside in the summer. Generally, I always burn first--and then I'll tan the rest of the summer.

Same! I considered it last summer, when 2 weeks of beach vacation left me a beautiful shade of golden brown I didn't want to lose... but I have seen too many friends get the orange glow,or leathery looking skin, or the white rings around the eyes from the goggles, haha

I can get pretty dark quite quickly. I usually notice quite a difference just from being out walking or jogging this time of year.

I've got a little sun burn if that counts lol.
Once I get a couple burns in I'll tan a little bit, for a red head I'm proud of that lol.

i do tan and a reason i avoid the sun .. i prefer to have no tan but even then i look like i just had a very very little tan .. maybe because mostly my skin colour is a little to golden undertone so i never look pale even when i didn't go to the sun for years lol

I have been told by the doc to keep my shirt on from 10 to 2 when I'm in the sun
I get a farmers at first then get the rest brown after a couple of days
I personally like to get the spray tans but most people don't like that
