Having some vanilla creme coffee right now...now that my power is back on. :mad

Yep. Even though I paid my bill on Monday. Even though I went outside, receipt in hand, and SHOWED the guy that I had paid my bill on Monday. Apparently they changed their computer system and, as a result, the day the bill drops for people on levelized billing moved up 2 days. So even though my bill was paid ON TIME, the computer change thinks I was overdue by a day (I paid it the day before it was due) and I got cut off AND dropped from levelized billing. Took a trip up there AND a return phone call to get it straightened out but I finally have power again and they removed the $50 reconnect fee and the $125 deposit that they were going to make me pay. :mad

Wow, Just like those folks on Long Island, Their power was off for 3 weeks and their bills were the same.

Wow. I hadn't heard about that one. That's amazing. We were w/o power for 3 or 4 days several years ago now b/c of a Tropical Storm that came through. The deduction in my bill was automatic.
