That fine Cuban cigar I smoked last Christmas, I have one every year as a treat. Not a regular smoker though.

What a fine cigar though, everything a cigar should ever aspire to be.

Good memories..

Marrying my husband.. Looking into his eyes as he vowed to love me forever..

Giving birth to my 3 boys..

And i cherish the nights when i can lay on his chest while nesting my head perfectly under his chin and arm while listening to him breath and his heart beat. I love that. :)

One of my favorite memories is me in the Boy Scouts of America. We'd go out on camping trips here in rural Maine. I really enjoyed the outdoors as a kid, and I'm forever grateful to the two guys who were the leaders of our troop. They recieved no financial reward. Yet they lead our troop anyways, even though some of the parents of the other children in the group weren't so grateful.

If I ever meet up with those guys again, I'll thank them for all they did.

I have several, but one of my favorites is the night the majority of my EMT class went out to the bar after we had taken National Registry that morning. We had a blast...it was the perfect way to end our time together!!!

One particularly good span of time I remember was spent in a little town of Bisbee Az. On approaching the town, you enter it through a tunnel. When you come out the other side, it is like being transported back to the sixties, and in my case, without the drugs. It was really like going back in time for me. I and my mate set up shop there, and stayed 9 months.
The town was built on top of mines and had a great deal of lore and history. Many of the residents were squatters back in the day, and actually obtained some of the dwellings that way.
There were quaint little businesses throughout the town. When it rained, the water cascaded down the steps to a large drain mid town. The whole place was in fact on a hill. We were next to the old fire station.
One day I wandered up the steps and to a little restaurant to have breakfast. I don't know why I particularly remember this day, but I do. A small group of bikers from the somewhere in the east stopped in. They were weekend warriors, not the outlaw bikers I am accustomed to, and they were really awesome and respectful. I sat and conversed with one a while. I think they kinda got a kick out of the lttle town. I told them where our shop was, and sure enough, on their way out they passed by, and waved. Very weird the little things I retain in memory that somehow frame a time experience and hold meaning.

Walking to the fishing pond with grandpa

See that one hits home with me. My dad died when I was 7. I spent a lot of Friday nights with my grandparents so my grandfather and I could get up real early in the morning to go fishing. He smoked like a train and his vehicle always smelled of tobacco. The smell of tobacco on a crisp morning always reminds me of him. We fished all day when we went and more often than not brought home fish to clean for dinner another night.

I feel your pain with losing a close relative, I lost my birth mother and my grandfather, and I have no idea what happened to my step brother.

Going hunting real early in the morning with my dad. I didn't care to hunt but being with him in the pre-dawn time, the thermos of coffee, looking up at him. Another time I was going by bus to buy a car from my Uncle. We came of Stevens Pass just a dawn. It was autumn. The sun was just coming up, the water was coming off the Mountain and the leaves were bright oranges, yellows, reds, it was gorgeous, it made tears come to my eyes it was so breath taking beautiful.

Usually when I go to Seattle I take Snoqualmie pass, which is faster but not as pretty, but the bus hits a lot of small towns.

Playing Star Trek when I was a kid if we were in the car with my dad :) he was the captain, obviously, I was in the front seat so I was navigation, and my sisters in the back were weapons stations.

There were a lot of Klingon attacks between the house and the shopping centre.

This one is silly, but it's one of my fondest memories from childhood. My dad took my brothers hunting and camping one weekend and I stayed home w/ my mom. For some reason I remember very fondly that we had blizzards from Dairy Queen for dinner. I thought that was the coolest thing ever, LOL To this day it's one of my favorite memories.
