good/bad news

well finally got done with all the navy bullshit that I've been going through all week...I lost a lot of sleep being stressed out over this whole situation...anyway...I had a meeting today with my command and the executive officer and I explained to him what was going on with medical...I was suppose to have a 6 month medical extension after my surgery well medical on monday morning called me and told me that they canceled my extension....a lot more to that story that I'm not typing out because if you're not military you wouldn't understand what I'm talking about...but they were going to seperate me on Jan 2nd and that would of screwed me big time because I can't work with my shoulder in its present condition and that would of given me about 2 weeks to do 6 months worth of pre seperation stuff that I was told to hold off until I was on my extension time...well after it was all said and done the XO extended me for medical care purposes and I will not be out of the navy till July 2nd...thats the bad part haha but its good too...after the meeting though I could see in the XO's face that he was pissed off the way I've been treated and how medical was jerking me around because all they wanted to do is pass the problem to someone else...and as I walked out the door and was a few feet down the hall I heard the XO call up medical and started to cuss out the docs....poetic justice to a bunch of bullshit that I was being put through

Ooh Rah to kick ass XO's. Congrats on getting what you should have gotten all along. I am surprised they gave you such a hard time. Its not like people are tripping over each other to sign up for the armed forces right now.

Dude, what's the hull # of your boat? I have to make sure that no one I know gets orders there!

Seriously, I was almost going through the same thing: They tried to make me stay in because there was a chance I was going to have kidnet stones...a chance? Are you serious?

I just ditched that paperwork, went to PSD Norfolk and checked out....I'm glad PS's don't know how to read medical stuff.

I'm on shore duty up at NAS PAX RIVER

Aww, well, let's hope you can sleep and rest more easy now huh?

Glad it kinda went your way anyway - well, not as you would have liked exactly, but at least there has been a resolve so that you at least know which direction you are heading now.

Hope your shoulder's better soon. :)

oh yeah I forgot to mention....because I've been here all week getting jerked around on my leave period my chief just exteneded my leave and I don't have to be back to work till the 3rd of jan vice being back on the 28th of dec...thats

Awesome, enjoy your leave!

Pax River is generally a fucked up place. When I was at NMCI, literally 60% of our trouble calls came from up there.
