I was reading in my prego book and it said by the second trimester I wouldn't be going to the bathroom as much. Well I'm a month into it and I this past week i've been going to the bathroom so many times that it's starting to piss me off. And I know I'm tiny, and I look like I should be 6 months instead of 4, but come on now!! This is getting really annoying.

Its only gonna get worse.. sorry to tell ya. :(

Whatever you do, dont try to hold it. Just go. Kidney infections are BAD when pregnant.

I usually only hold it in the morning b/c I'm so tired (I always have to go around 4-5am...sometimes 7am). Then I usually force myself up after about a half hour. I can't really hold it too long as it is now b/c I get those 'I gotta go pee pains'

My wife and I got all those pregnancy and other books: What to expect when you're expecting, What to expect the first year, What to expect the toddler years, etc. We finally gave them away because my wife's body wasn't following the book's, "What to expect this month" possiblilities. Same with the after-the-baby's-born books; OMG, our child is doing something in the first 6 months she shouldn't be doing until the second 6 months and she's NOT doing something at this time that the book says she should be doing!

Too much headache and too generalized of guidelines. The books are evil.....I'm just saying!

What Charmer said^^^

Those books are generalizations and averages. Like you yourself said, you're tiny in stature, things going on with you won't be the same as someone 5'9", etc.
And, when the baby does come-please PLEASE don't pay a bit of attention to those 'what your baby will be doing at XX months'. They just want your money.

Those books aren't geared towards smaller women, they are for average size women. It's true, your small frame is going to cause you to experience things that most might not.

It always seemed when I had to go the most was at bedtime. I would try to hold it as long as possible but I got a UTI (my first one ever) and after experiencing a UTI, I swore to myself I would never hold it. Its just frustrating having to get up every 2 hrs to pee when you gotta sleep.

hmm, I dont really remember having to pee more when I was Pregnant, guess I was lucky in that sense, But my pregnancy was small..

Hell I didnt even change pants size till my 9th month,

(and those who think thats lucky.. part of the joy of pregnancy is the belly, I kinda missed getting to have that) *shrug*

aww guess Im so sorry girl *points and laughs* jk :D v's right it does only get worse...shit I wound up having to hold it when cause i went so many damn times...wait till he/shes sitting on your bladder and you feel like you have to go every 5 seconds. Doctors told me I should be peeing less when i reached that stage...I wanted to punch them....seems the farther along i got...the more i had to go. Till I felt like I spent 99 % of my awake time on that goddamn toilet...it became my new best friend
