Yeah heard about this. The story goes he never got over the death of his daughter 2 years ago. Tragic really, RIP.

Death is death. The fact he was a goalie is null and void.
That was his occupation though.

but a whole country in mourning over a sports star? A bit much. I can see friends and family. Maybe I'm wrong in thinking the title means the WHOLE country.

So sad that he left behind a wife and such a young kid. It sounds like he was suffering from a lot of mental breakdown and wasn't getting the proper treatment due to embarassment or social stigma. Such a shame.
I hope he finally finds some peace. And that his family will have the support it needs now.

I don't pay much mind to wealthy death either unless it's someone I'm actually close to. It's like all these people that broke down when MJ died... do you know how many millions of people probably broke down into tears on his death? FFS. Dude couldn't even walk on water.
Maybe that was an extreme example.
