Well they are having gay day at Six Flags because this is Gay Pride weekend. I think having a day set aside for them someplace is great. They are no different from you and I. They don't walk around fucking each other in the ass, or holding hands. Most people wouldn't know a gay couple if they saw one. My uncle is gay, and he has a "life partner", and the are awesome people. They aren't flaming, they don't mess with each other, they are normal people. I never even knew my uncle was gay until he had his union with his guy. I had thought they were just friends. That's what anyone who didn't know them would think.


It's good that there is a day for them specifically, because they can go there, be themselves, be carefree, and enjoy it. Be with other people just like them. They don't have to worry about ridicule, or others who have a problem with them. They can just be happy. Why should they have to worry about ignorant morons in the first place? I don't think it's very fair. They shouldn't have to be concerned with what others think. I don't see what would be wrong with taking the kids there either. Gay does not equal pedifile. They aren't going to take any special interest in the children, or mollest them, or even persuade them to be gay. They will be just like anyone else. The ones I have met are all very nice people.


Disliking things that have to do with gays is a prejudice. No different than racism, or sexism. Same prejudice, different victims. They don't do anything that effects anyone. Not at all. "They" get that day set aside because everyone else knows that a majority of the population doesnt want to see that shit everyday and that its not right what "they" are doing. But anyways, she got her daughter taken away from her just a couple of weeks ago because of her sexuality. She no longer has custody of her and when she does get to see her, its has to be with antother adult in the room. Her daughter was taken away because the judge said she was living the "wrong" lifestyle and learning things that a child SHOULD NOT know. She was actually thinking and telling her daddy that her Mommy and Sherry kiss and wrestle in bed and asked her daddy why he doesnt do that with boys. I mean, Come On!!!!!
You know, Im not trying to be rude, but Ive got 3 kids and all the rest of you that have an opinion of saying its all fine and dandy to take your kids to Six Flags the same day they are having gay day, doesnt really have a clue yet. What are "they" doing in public that is so bad? Maybe homosexuals get a day becasue of people who "dont like what tehy are doing" and theyhave to try and act "normal" in the regular public. Maybe they get a day becasue tehy want to have the freedom to not have to hide their lives from alot of the public that has such a problem with them

Exactly the point I tried to get across too. They have a day where they can go and not have to worry about morons who have a problem with their personal choices. They can enjoy themselves, meet others, all without having to worry about homophobe Fred raining on their parade. No critisim and ridicule from others, just a good day.


Besides Mrs, you keep saying that your kids would ask why those men are kissing? Like I said in my other post, they don't walk around fondling each other. They are normal people. They aren't all over each other. The most you would see them doing is probably holding hands, if that. What if children did see that? It won't hurt them. It's not like they will automatically turn gay, they won't spontaneously combust, nor will they decide to go shoot up their school. So I don't see what's wrong with it. They will find out one way or another. Hell, they are in school. They probably already know. Gays seem to be the butt of all jokes these days.

First of all, I NEVER said I had a problem with their personal choice. That is their perogrative. If everyone of you would stop and take the time to read what I say throughly instead of only hearing what you want it to say you would have read that. So, therefore, that does not make me a moron.

And PhillyBlunt, as far as you saying God didnt invent mental retardation. Maybe he did, maybe he didnt, we will never know. But either way, THAT cannot be helped. People can control their gay urges. And dont even tell me they cant. Some guys purposely try to talk feminine.

I DONT HAVE A PROBLEM WITH GAYS AND THEY WAY THEY LIVE THEIR LIFE. ITS THEIR CHOICE. ALL I EVER SAID TO BEGIN WITH WAS THAT I WOULD TAKE TAKE THEM TO SIX FLAGS THE SAME DAY THAT GAY DAY WAS GOING ON. Is that so hard to understand? And it just seems funny to me that all you guys who keep saying Im wrong, dont even have kids. So you really have no right to judge me. And MrAWatts, you really dont believe that they do nothing but just hold hands. Yeah,ok. Whatever. Ive seen more than that going on in everyday life. Why would they hold back on their special day and keep their hands off each other?
I have plenty of friends who are lesbians and a few that are gay. I do not judge them and it does not make me judge them different. I just dont wanna put my kids right in the middle of it on Gay Day.
