Alrighty, we got our first "Gayness is a sin"! However I'm glad they also said, "Discrimination not ok. Might consider Gay friend".

it was my vote, I voted that way because their gayness/non gayness doesn't factor in for me, I don't WANT to have gay friends, nor do I really NOT want to, I suppose the next answer down would have been a better choice.

The difference between the "sin" and "don't like" choice was to offer a religious choice vs a prejudicial choice. Also for those who have not voted, for clarification my intent for the "might consider a gay friend" means you don't really approve of the life style, but that it might not stop you from befriending an openly gay person.

my answer was "Can tolerate Gays. Discrimination is not ok. Don't want gay friends.", DA was asking why.

not all conservatives hate gays man, it's only the extremest that have their own TV shows that make it seem that way, they don't represent all conservatives.

What about an option for - everyone is on equal footing when I meet them, gay or not. I don't necessarily like or dislike anyone before I get to know them. Any for of discrimination is not okay.

I can see that, but there are options in the poll that cover the conservative and moderate views. I just think they are staying away especially the ones who would label gay= sin because they perceive they are jumping into a controversial subject even if they can vote without posting.

I have done polls here but have not looked if we can do multiple options here..

I voted for the last option but none really match what I think. I like some and hate other gay people, sexuality is never really a question when it comes to whether I like or dislike people.

I agree with this. I dont go out of my way to befriend gay people just to make the point that I like everyone, or anything.

I've posted his stuff before, but this guy is one of my favorite Youtubers, and although he is openly gay he isnt flamboyant and speaks intelligently

I have seen a forum where you can do multiple polls in one post, which would give more flexibility. I believe I offered the choices you mentioned in the poll.

I chose the last option. My bestfriend is gay (not V, obviously, LOL...her sister-in-law's wife) and I have several gay friends. I don't ask people their sexual persuasion before I befriend them...makes no difference to me.

And that's the way it should be. You befriend someone for their personality not for whatever sexual orientation they are. :clap

im not gay. i am aware that gayness is a sin, but hell, dont you and i have our own things in our closet?

i have a few gay friends, know a few more, and all of them are awesome, diverse people.

it's wrong and ignorant to discriminate, who are you to tell others what the hell they can and cannot do? really? no, really. "well its in the Bible rain, its wrong and Jesus doesnt like it, and therefore i have the right to put them down for their disgusting, sinful choice." yes, its in the Bible, it says its wrong. but dont take it into your own hands, leave judging to Him please, that's their battle, not yours. and overpreaching about their issue to them will only turn them away from God if anything.

i still understand if you're uncomfortable around them, just dont be mean to them DX

:clap:clap:clap What this guy needs to realise though is that there is gay clubs for whatever your interests, these days. It kind of goes the same way with straight people too. Dont fart around on dating sites, join a club about something you're specifically into and then you will will meet single people with a common interest. Being gay is not a common interest, its just the way you were born. There are places for everyone to meet people with common interests ands thats where you have a bigger chance of forming a relationship.

Oh, and as for the last post, the Bible saying being gay is wrong is no reason that it is.
