Gaming as Pop Culture: Entertainment or Obsession?

Competitive and recreational gaming is now mainstream, influencing music, movies, and social interactions. Does gaming positively shape creativity and community, or does it risk addiction and social isolation? How should society evaluate gaming’s cultural impact?

For me it is entertainment. I play game to relax and have fun. It helps me with my mental and emotional well being. However, I certainly see it as obsession in a lot of people.
