so yeah, the firehouses arent allowed to let us do the car washes this year... something about the storm water drainage thingy...and umm, now im kinda stuck on a big fundraiser to do for the walk. anyone do anything cool for a sports team or any other organization that you wanna share?

Erm...tombola maybe? The Harlow Autism group got the council to let them take a car park over for the day with money going to the charity. Anything like that possible? I don't know what else to suggest really, bit blank at the moment. Good luck!:clap

Its like a raffle, get people to donate prizes for it ect, any little thing they don't want anymore. All the prizes have a number with 5 or 0 at the end ect. You have a big tub which people pay x amount to draw a certain amount of tickets out of ect and they win the corresponding prize if they pull out a ticket ending in 0 or 5 ect. When I was on the committee of a real ale club this was how we raised most of our money. Its kind of like a second hand shop done by raffle if that makes any sense.

The ones we did had all sorts of stuff, DVDs, videos, CDs, unwanted Christmas presents ect. There was a lot of crap too, a friend and I had a little competition to see who could donate the crappest prize, I won by donating a Milli Vanilli tape which used to belong to the missus ex! We usually had some half decent prizes as the big ones like a cheap DVD player or mini tele ect.

I organized an annual corporate bake sale at work to raise money for various charities. Staff brought in food items they baked, and we charged a hefty sales premium. We made a killing. lol
