It says marhaban. The lines/strokes above the letters mean short vowels, and the circle means two consonants in a row And the last double stroke on the end is a tanwin which is pronounced 'an'. All the other letters are m, r, h, b and a

Well, Hindi is a variation of Urdu, ultimately Arab. So the pronunciations, I can manage, for I know some Hindi. Only, I can't read the script or comprehend the meanings.

I can read and pronounce (although I must practice my reading aloud), but like you I don't understand the word meanings unless someone teaches me. I have noticed the similar sound in Hindi and Arabic
