Fucking Paypal

whats with these new verification features? I don't feel like I need to upload my fucking ID to Paypal, or provide a utility bill or proof of SSN? I was applying for a debit card because a guy was going to have me do some graphhic design work and putting money on Paypal seemed easiest. I've never had this trouble before! And if I don't resolve it they'll put limitations on my account.

you are applying for a debit card? if you are they are doing so out of safety precautions. its like starting a new account, so I could see why they are asking for what you have said. It all comes down to fraud and the avoidance of it.

Any bank you ask to start an account with asks for ID. Just because PayPal is online doesn't mean they don't want to follow the same precautions I guess :dunno

All I had to do was link my paypal to my bank to verify. They added a few cents to my account and I had to tell them how much. But that was in 08. Maybe they still have that option?
