GRAY, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- A woman has been shot and killed in the town of Winslow, and state police say the man who killed her took his own life after a police chase.
Public Safety Spokesperson Steve McCausland says the woman was killed outside near the corner of Marie and Beck Streets in Winslow. McCausland says the man who killed her then took off in a blue car.
State Police caught up with that car on the Maine Turnpike, and followed it to Gray, where they used spike mats to stop the car.
McCausland says at least one tire was deflated when the driver shot and killed himself. No one else was injured. We will bring you more information as it becomes available.
