I am doing a design for a guy I went to school with, I've done one for him before. I should have learned from my first experience. He's always saying almost there... or changing shit up on me... I'm about to say fuck it. The money isn't worth him jerking me around.

Anytime I try to come up with something different via marketing, working either with the shirt or print/paper guy, it takes about 5 "go arounds" till I get what I'm looking for.

I don't understand... if he's paying you to design something for him, doesn't he have a right to decide when he's pleased with it? And if it's absurd stuff, just charge for the amount of time you spend re-doing it.

If our client's make us re-do something for some stupid fussy reason, or does something to make our job more difficult, we just point out to them that we adjust their fees if the number of hours we spend goes way above our estimates due to challenges they create. Doing the work is our job, so complaining about that is silly... we just take it out on their bank accounts

I got paid... I was just ranting... shan, the basic problem is I should be charging by hour and I don't. I just charge a base fee since I'm doing this under the table.
