friend of mine back home died saturday

I got a phone call late last night that my friend Kevin Hayes died...I went to highschool with Kevin...I didn't post anything earlier about this because I wasn't sure about all the details yet but the word I got is that he was drinking fell asleep and his blood sugar got really low...to the point where it killed him...I'm still kind of shocked that it happened and I don't think its really set in yet...the wake is on Wed. and I wont be able to make it home which really sucks...I have passed the word how ever because a lot of our friends and other classmates haven't heard unfortunately...hopefully they will be able to pay their last respects

Oh no Chris, that is such a sad thing to read.

Even sadder for you that you are unable to get to the funeral. Is there no way you can get compassionate leave? Or is that only in cases of family members?

That's weird too about the blood sugar.

Actually, mine plummeted Saturday, after being out Friday and had a few to drink, so I can understand that. How sad that is though and so young.

I feel for him and feel for you too, as he was obviusly a friend you thought a lot of.

I hope somehow you will be able to get to the funeral at least.

it really sucks...he was a good kid and a volunteer fire fighter in Tinton Falls
