wondering how many of you would be interested in having your own forum, hosted by me? I'm just testing the waters. You'd be your own admin, in exchange for the service I would place ads on the forum (not popups or anything annoying).

edited this post to mention I will consider free website hosting as well, ad supported.

Thoughts?

It would be whatever you wanted it to be, I don't care as long as its not illegal or immoral. All I would do is install the forums and give you a web address (like www.yoursite.joehayes.org) or I may register a new domain just for this.

You'd have full creative control, everything except ftp access. You wouldn't need to know how to use servers or anything like that. Real simple. Your own place for whatever you want.

Theirs no money to be made for anyone, the service to you is free in exchange for a few ads placed on the forum. Don't be illusioned into thinking this is a way for you to make money. This is simply a free web forum hosting service.

I will even consider free hosting for web pages, with ftp access to trusted members. Once again, ad supported.


Tell you what, if anyone wants to do this - pm me. I'd like to try it with a few people before I get serious with it. I will be able to "limitedly" assist with forum editing & web site editing... as in you do the work and I will help where needed.

Sounds amazing Joe! I already made a free forum on the this host or whatever(phpBB). Saw the link when I was online the otherday. The web address would be alot easier to remember if it's just like, 2 things. Any other free forum I've ever seen is like http://www.freeforum.thisis/areally/long/fucking/link.com Very rediculous.
 
lol yea. I'll do something really short, and not cheezy. Once I get a few people interested in doing it I'll start. Unlike other hosts I'll install a few mods and help you with logos/banners etc. Also the sites will be search engine friendly and fast loading.
