I need sound for some things. Although I do mute my laptops.

The one that keeps getting me is a Massey-Furgeson ad which sounds like a semi-tractor running.

Tell me about it... the site I use to watch my tv shows on... keeps automatically starting up videos promoting new shows etc. Does my nut in... if I wanted to watch the video, I'd click play.

I agree. I check espnboston.com everyday and it drives me nuts. It starts an ad with sound every time !
