Honestly in my opinion, I think nobody should pay attention when he dies at all. Don't mention him in the news and give the group more publicity than they have already gotten in the past.

After I posted this I found out Fred did die. I just wonder what will happened to his "church" now that he is gone. I would hope the church would die along with him but his family may want to continue to spread hate.

One odd thing about the entire situation is that Fred Phelps was excommunicated from his own church last year - something that was kept silent until just recently. I wonder if that is some sign of his family ousting him in favor of a new leader as his health deteriorated? Hatred and bigotry is not a commodity in short supply and I expect the church will keep going under new leadership.
