Hahaha, exactly. I just don't even bother anymore. That's all I'll say to avoid a dumb forum fight.

I would try to prove to them that being gay (really gay, not just saying it) is impossible, but if they refused to see logic, I would support them. But I would not support them getting married. If they did, I wouldn't say anything, but I wouldn't really like it. But their your children, so I wouldn't disown them or hate his/her "partner".
I think he is referring to the biological vs. choice issue. The theory goes (and I'm not saying I agree) that if homosexuality were biological (i.e., a trait passed on) then it would very soon be genetically removed from a species and/or would never have existed in the first place.
My personal viewpoint is that sexuality is a continuum--that is you have totally homosexual on one end and totally heterosexual on the other and then eveything inbetween. That's why you hear people say "I experimented one time", etc.--well for a completely heterosexual person, "experimenting" would be repugnant--you wouldn't want to do it, but some people aren't as heterosexual as others--and of couse you get people who are bi-sexual. To me its like eye-sight, people with perfect vision and people with lousy vision, and everythin inbetween.

Why do you say its "natural?" I would tend to believe that is would be unnatural in the sense that two persons of the same sex were not intended to "hook up" in nature--there would be no purpose in nature given that the purpose of sex in nature is procreation.
Doesn't matter to me--just part of the debate from the religious standpoint because if one can "choose" then they should choose the opposite sex. As I stated before I think some can choose, but only because their sexuality is closer to bi-sexual--for most people there is no choice.
seeing as how everything is expressed by our genes and DNA, homosexuality is "natural". Not that there's anything unnatural to begin with...so..
guys the original question didn't ask you to debate homosexuality. It's if you would accept your son/daughter getting married if they were homosexual.
I would not be happy but I would not disown my child either.
Hmm...did any of you heterosexuals choose to be straight? Just wondering.
