Pete, you'd probably be surprised...A lot of American brewers have really stepped it up...barring the Coors, Anheiser Busch, Miller etc...The indy brewers are really making some good stuff!

I know, I've had a few of them at the GBBF. Just a shame like any independant brewers, they dont get the coverage anywhere near as good as the commercial piss.:thumbdown

I'm witcha brutha man!! Unfortunately, you have to be very tricky about shipping alcohol across the pond...Ian had a good site up the other day with some that carry decent ones that ship to the UK though and the prices weren't too bad!

I'm sure there must be somewhere near you that sells good ales. When I was in Australia, I found a good bottle shop with some decent imported beers from Britain and Belgium, even if they were a bit pricey. I also found a couple of good brew pubs in Sydney. Guess you just have to search for them a bit.:thumbup

Oh I meant me sending some your way! You'll never be short on good ales where you are, but sometimes it's cool just to try some different stuff...Here, there are so many pubs now that are 40+ beers on tap that it's like being a kid in a candy store...plus they have a shop in house where you can buy what you try. There is a lot of good stuff to be had here too! No worries for me!

Actually had a really good one the other night:Weyerbacher Brewing Company and I can't wait to try more off that line...

We get the GBBF every August which is basically the best pub in the world for a week, here in London every August. It takes up the whole of Earls Court. They have thousands of beers from all around the world. Remember trying a few at the huge American section before.
