Did you not read where I said "just in the league"... Those goals and assists for Nani are just in the League games...
And... You think Young gonna suddenly score a ton more because he plays for man u... Valencia and park are on his level... He ain't Messi Xavi Sanchez... He is not gonna Improve man u at all but Will bump this thread next season and see whos right.

ok,take the league only..i was using the cups to emphasize a point....united are champions because they are a better side all round than villa, that means that uniteds strikers are more likely to score from chances, meaning that the likelyhood of youngs assists going up considerably, then the fact that united carry more of a threat up front means that the likes of young will get more space, meaning that he'll get more opportunities on goal...with the likelyhood of his goal ratio going up

That one lost the champions league, the fa cup semi-finals and that champions league finals, coming second or third means nothing

no its means nothing where trophies are concerned, but if you play in those games that get you there you have more chances to score etc

He Takes Every corner and free-kick at villa he won't at united... Okay lets do this... Miller at Villa... there player of the year scored aload of goals and assists moved to a better team like your saying man city with world class players... tevez silva ect... His stats went down...

that because mancici prefers to defend rather that use what he has offensively, ferguson prefers to attack

That's because Silva is jizzworthy. And a far far better player than Milner. Plus, as Ian stated, City prefer to defend than attack.

Speaking of jizzworthy, Young's crosses for Chica next season.

I could give you more reasons then Miller... Robbie Keane... Wright-phillips... That Leeds striker that scored a bucket load then went to Everton... and a lot more if I thought about it... Young Is not messi he is not ronaldo or sneijer or mata... He is on level with Park and Valencia and below the level of Nani... He hasn't Improved United... But each to their own I guess... Time will tell who is right.

The Beckford comparison is unfair because he wasn't swapping Premier League for Premier League, it was a division change and the class of opposition is far superior.

First thing that came to my mind bro... Listen Park Valencia assists and goals were better before they joined United thats why they brought them... They gone down...Like many players do... You and sky seems to be thinking just because Youngs joined the best "current" team in England he will score more... I'm 75% sure he won't... But will see

I think he'll probably get about the same because there won't be as much need for him toscore. Last season Villa's strikers were Heskey who is awful, Agbonlahor didn't score till April (I think, I know it was late on) and Carew left halfway through. So players like Young and Downing had to score more because the other players weren't doing it. Assist wise he'll do better because of the better players he has to provide.

That's Exactly what I meant from the start and what I've been saying... yes he is a good player...But he'll do the same job Valencia and Park Giggs have done... He won't do as good as Nani because he ain't as good... But you give me £35+million plus and have the title as man u champions of England and I will get you someone that will score more than young... I'm saying Man u Haven't really significantly Improved with these two signings at all. And both of them were a lot of money

That's the price you pay these days. Like Liverpool paid £35m for Carroll....is he worth that? Probably not. Is Phil Jones worth £16m? Again probably not. We could be here all night, I generally think the top teams have to pay more because the smaller teams who these players are bought from feel they can get that much from the bigger teams. As for the significantly improving point? Well.....do we have to? I mean yes we were taught a footballing lesson from Barcelona but I mean in general terms. Just won the League, got far in 2/3 cup competitions, so where could the improvment come from? Sneijder yes, but he doesn't want to leave Inter. Messi is unpricable, as is Xavi. They say every player has his price, I don't actually believe this to be the case and these days players (most of them anyway) would only leave if they felt they were improving themselves.

I'm Seriously not on about prices hell you could have paid £50million for young for all I care... I'm saying has he really improved you???... Carroll Improved a poor Torre-less side... Will young?... Time will tell...

"As for the significantly improving point? Well.....do we have to?"

but of course you have to improve... Chelsea Liverpool and man city will... If you don't wanna improve then thats for you

I didn't say he didn't improve Liverpool because he did, I'm just saying was it worth £35m to do so? Though considering Liverpool got £50m for Torres I'd consider them excellent business people in that sense.

And I meant from the points from what we did last season, though we will have to not be as sloppy this season, and away form has to improve which it almost certainly will. And yeah other teams will improve...but to what? Liverpool for me will only be pushing to get into the top 4 again which they need to do, Man City will be closer next season though have to balance Europe and The Premiership and Chelsea.....they'll be better than the horrible winter period they had yes. But it's an old side there.

Did Carroll improve Liverpool?

Liverpool look a much better team with Kuyt and Suarez up front than Suarez and Carroll. Carragher just boots it 60 yards if Carroll is playing.

I just call it as it is. Carroll's not a bad player per se, he just brings out the very worst in Liverpool.
