Best bit of transfer news I imagine Stoke have ever had. :D

Arsenal had an offer of £10million turned down for Jagielka. I would imagine Wenger will return with an improved offer soon. I think Jagielka would be a good signing for us, so I hope it happens. I'd prefer him over Gary Cahill.
There's been some more rumblings about Juan Mata - Valencia's president saying something about every player has their price. But I think it's all media hype. He'll still be at the Mestalla next season.

Jags would be a good signing for Arsenal. I'm not sure who you'd partner him with though, I see him and Vermaelen as too similar. I'd maybe play Jagielka and Djourou from the start and see what happens.

Sanchez has finally signed for Barcelona.

There's a rumour doing the rounds that Barcelona will throw in Ibrahim Afellay in with the money for Fabregas. Afellay is an attacking midfielder more in the Nasri role than anything.

You're in luck, he's off to Roma.....

Oh.

In some sad news my favourite German Mesut Ozil is out for a little while with a fucked up toe.

I's still recovering from the Shock of Stoke buying Woodgate.

Arsenal have signed Alex Oxlaide-Chamberlian (sp?) from S'hampton for £12 mil.

If he turns out as good as Theo Walcott, it won't be bad business. But ideally we'd like him to be a lot better.

Looks like Man U will sign Sneijder before the start of the season.

Bar some sort of unimaginable disaster, the title is theirs.

Yeah there's loads of reports going about. I expect a deal to be done next week sometime. He's be a pretty fantastic signing.

Matthew Upson's gone to Stoke now with Peter Crouch and Wilson Palacios in talks to follow him. Seems they are bulking up their squad for Europe. Wise move if they want to stay in it past Christmas.

Reports are coming through thick and fast that Wenger has greenlighted both Nasri and Fabregas' moves to Man City and Barca respectively.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...ona-while-Samir-Nasri-heads-for-Man-City.html

I wish Cesc success at Barca, although I think it's far more likely he's going to sit and stew on the bench and rew this mistake.
As for Nasri, I hope he emulates Flamini, Anelka, Ljumberg, Viera, Hleb and all the rest that have left Arsenal to go onto mediocrity.

A day is a long time in football.

Sneijder deal is off. He won't lower his wage demands.

Makes sense, he can earn 120k net a week in Italy, or earn 50-70k net after tax over here.

Actually, the more I read and research, I think wages have little to do with it. The numbers don't add up.

Unless Sneijder is asking for significantly more than what Rooney earns..

Rooney would get the same as Sneijder regardless, he has it written into his contract.

Nobody seems to know where the new where's wally is, Cesc Fabregas. Some say he's on a plane, some say he's still in London. The deal hasn't been agreed yet apparently but will be shortly. it's all confusing. Pep's tellnig Cesc to stay there until Monday. The deal will be done eventually I hear. Nasri's gone AWOL until he gets his leave.
