I'd expect no less from a footballer who except for 3 months of great football, has been pretty much anonymous :D

Rooney would get the same as Sneijder regardless, he has it written into his contract.

That's probably why then. If Sneijder wants to earn the same amount net as Rooney, no problem, but if he wants more, that's two bumper contracts Man U have to sign.

Arsenal look to be signing Per Mertesacker from Werder Bremen, Arsenal do need a centre half in fairness. He's a little bit slow which might be a problem but he's much better than the two who signed last Summer. He's only 26 which surprised me, I thought he was 30+. Plus he's German, which is always a plus.

There was a rumour earlier that Chelsea were going to loan new signing Romanu Lukaku to Stoke, that can't happen though as the Premier League rules state you can't loan out a player you bought in the same transfer window.

Charlton keeper Rob Elliot's having a medical at Newcastle.

Is Mertesacker the really tall one?

Because he's better than Cahill imo

Sorry, only just saw this. Yeah he's better than Cahill.

David Bentley's gone to West Ham on a season loan as part of the Parker deal (I assume)

Hutton's going to Villa from Spurs though Fulham have put a bid in, as is Jenas apparently. Crouch is off to Stoke.

Cahill's 50/50 to stay at Bolton, Joe Cole has gone to Lille.

Anton Ferdinand has gone to QPR.

Hargreaves is going to City, weird transfer considering his fitness (or lack of) but if he can play fair play. Free transfer too.

In a big coup, Vicente has gone to Brighton from Valencia, pretty good signing for Gus Poyet.

Huh, just thought it was. Yeah good enough signing, never really got going at Spurs but was brilliant for Blackburn if I remember.

Arteta to Arsenal is back on apparently after being off earlier. Personal terms apparently. Be a good signing for Arsenal, experience there of the Premier League and he'll teach the younger players a thing or two.

The Kaka to Spurs rumour turned out to be just that, a rumour. Gary Cahill to Spurs was more concrete but also didn't happen.

Crouch to Stoke is a good signing for them, Crouch on the end of Delap's throws
