As with all sports, I just don't get the excitement of sitting around and rooting on a team in the comfort of your own home. If you're AT the game than thats different. Yelling and swearing at the screen when your team fumbles or whatever, is lame. But this is merely my opinion, don't hurt me :D

If you're passionate about a team, why is it okay to get excited about it in public, but not in the privacy of your own home?

I took my wife for the first time to a game.
She liked it but said after the game:" What I don't get is they toss a quarter in the air at the beginning and than they start screaming all the time : Get the Quarter back...

Yep, you're right.

You have to drive to the city, spend money on gas and time, deal with traffic, either hang out with drunks in the parking lot or deal with the elements early if you don't live in a not so friendly climate. Then if you bring children, you have to deal with the drunk yelling profanities at the players acting the like the players can actually hear them. Then, if you wait until the game is over you have to deal with the people getting out of the stadium, and the oh so fun game of chicken trying to get out of the parking lot unless you want to fall asleep in your car for the rest of the crowd to get out.

I'll take a sofa and TV for a game any day.

Hockey is about the only sport I find that it is worth attending.

It just does not come across the same on tv

The rest I would prefer to be at home. No line up to get a beer or take a piss. No morons continually standing up to watch the game.

I'm w/ya.... I don't get into football. I know I'm in a minority.... The only thing I watch the Superbowl for is the commercials.

:shesaid I didn't like watching football when I was a player. Don't much care for it now. When there's absolutely nothing else more interesting on, then maybe.

I've never understood this fascination with watching millionaires run up and down a field or a court. Whatever floats yer boat.

I enjoyed watching my kids play sports though.
