I need to clean and Sharpen it, it is not a bad knife really.

Old timers are carbon steel blades. A good oiling of joints & wiping of the blades is all the cleaning you need to do. Now sharpening they can be a bit of a chore.

yeah, I need to learn how to sharpen, that's one thing I've never done, always had someone else do it.

I don't conceal knives if I carry one on me, if you're thinking of self defense someone is less likely to mess with you if they see a big fixed blade on your belt.

I meant to say folding knives are more portable. Conceal wasn't the word I was looking for. :thumbup

I prefer a fixed blade for cleaning game and a folder for everyday use. The fixed blade keeps blood, hair and other things from getting in cracks. Carry a nice 3 blade, case around with me for everyday use. Use a fixed blade by Knives of Alaska for deer and hogs.

I carry a folder in my pocket every day and have for close to 40 years. I have to remember to remove it when I go certain places. Feel naked without a knife in my pocket.
