Fish

Ok, I think fish are interesting and I like watching fish that are compatible and non-compatible with each other so I bought two gold fish for starters along with a small tank with a waterpump and the gravel for the bio-filtration and chlorine/ammonia neutralizers.

Anyone have fish or any experience with them? Cuz I heard they're a pain in the ass and I don't really know what I'm doing yet.

I want to get some breeds that grow depending on the size of the tank. I remember I had a friend who had an Oscar...I think it is, not sure, exactly. But that thing got really, really big.

Just got goldfish for now incase I end up killing them by accident...:( hope not, though, haha.

I've always admired a friend's home who has a big wall to wall custom made aquarium with varied collection of exotic fish.......Feels like you're undersea. It's amazing :D:thumbup

My son started with goldfish too. They are quite sensitive to chlorine and change in water temp. Don't over feed them as they tend to bloat easily ..... Good luck

I used to keep freshwater fish. When I was a kid I had a pond and before I got married I had a big 4 foot tank. Mainly stuff like goldfish, shubunkins, coi carp, black moor and also a few thai red clawed crabs and albino frogs. Had to get rid of them when the missus moved in though as we didn't have enough room for them with all her stuff.

I used to have 2 beta fish! You can't put them in the same tank but it is fun to put them in separate jars and put the jars next to each other. They flare up to look all big and tough.

Other than that I have no knowledge of fish. Good luck with them! Let us know how you like them!

I once won a goldfish at some fair. I put in a bowl with some water and later got a small tank with the filter and everything. The goldfish died like a week later and I got some cool blue fish. That fish lasted me a good few months, maybe even a year. After it died, I lost interest in fish and got rid of the tank. This all happened when I was like 8 or something.

When I was little, I went to daycare and remember the owner having this awesome fish tank that had about 10 fish in it with castles and all that good stuff. It can be impressive, just takes a lot of work.

Mia caught me flushing her fish down the toilet. Yes, it was dead. I thought it would traumatise her. Turns out I just paid a hefty plumbing fee just to fish all the crap that SHE flushed down the toilet. Almost all of it was MY stuff she flushed. 116rosw.jpg
