I bought and am wearing a black T-shirt with Route 66 in white on the front and US Route 66 in large white letters on the back, above a blue and white corvette (vintage '66) and all the states that the highway crossed. We took a road trip this summer and hit along several of those places. I live not far from the original starting point of the Route west of Chicago. I've travelled the olde route from Chicago to CA and back in the 60s, before they converted much of it to tollroads.
