I did a lot of reading before I took the plunge and bought a new 50D today. I did it because I actually have my first paid outdoor wedding gig tomorrow and I be scared shitless. I don't like shooting people and expressed that thought to the bride and groom but they wouldn't hear of it cuz they like my animal stuff. In any event I didn't have a lot of time to familiarize myself today but I did manage a few shots before the sun went bye bye. What I see so far I like a lot. The images shot at 1000 ISO ( rabbits ) would have a lot more noise if I shot 'em with the 40D.
