Legal drinking age in Alabama was 19 when I was reaching drinking age. It was 18 in Florida in the same time frame. Sometime around the time I was 22 the legal drinking age became 21.

I was thrown out of a bar a week before my 19th birthday.

There have been many drinks since my first one, so I really couldn't say. I do know in the beginning I used to love Long Island Iced Teas. Still do.

I never had any desire to try alcohol because I hated the way it smelled. Finally my husband talked me into trying his favorite beer at the time, Blue Moon. I took a tiny sip and thought I was going to die. It was foamy and tasted the way it smelled. Bleh!
