First Baby Pic!!!

I went to the dr today and they measured me at 5 weeks 1 day. The black circle is the baby. Or what he is right now at least. The tiny white dot in the middle is the fetal pole, which becomes the spinal cord. It was so cool to see him for the first time!!!! I think there is just 1 in there...but does anyone else see the OTHER black circle to the lower right of the big one?! twins?! maybe??? lol...the dr said she couldnt tell yet, and I'm going back in 2 weeks to see!

well they assumed i was 6 weeks because of my last period date...but i knew i ovulated a week late, at 5 weeks...i think they do early scans to tell if the pregnancy is viable or not...the nurse was telling me that 50% of first pregnancies end in miscarriage so i guess this is a way of checking things out to make sure the pregnancy is progressing well. Early scans are also good for dating, early on the babies grow at the same rate usually, so its easier to measure them and guess how far along you are than it is later in the pregnancy.
