Im about to scream.. For some reason Firefox is translating EVERYTHING into spanish. I havent changed anything.. and it was working fine when I was on before. My husband gets on and all hell breaks loose.. HE says he hasnt changed anything. I looked up help questions and have found no help. In my settings it still shows english as my ONLY language.. wth? Has anyone had this problem? Can someone help me before I throw my computer out the window?

If that doesnt work, you may want to try disabling all your addons and see if it still does it.

All else fails uninstall/reinstall

You could try a system restore but if it is a virus it won't last or help at all

I would run a virus scan along with Malwarebytes and see what you find.

The virus is gone.. Already got rid of that.. and it was a porn virus which i think is funny. My husband doesnt TOUCH this computer because he is very computer illiterate. I always have to do it for him. He only got on to check samsungs new washer machine.

I disabled google toolbar and my problem has gone away.

oh and iexplorer has never worked for my computer for some reason. Once I downloaded fire fox, it quit working. I have a good bit of virus protection on my computers... so it shouldnt get a virus in the first place. :( Ive been letting my kids play farmville on facebook and they have gotten a few viruses from that. :(

oh and the porn site virus probably come from my friend that was staying with us. She stayed in the computer room on the cpu all the time. I used my laptop.. So this was the first time I cleaned it out since she left.. plus when I look at porn sites, i only go to ONE place and Ive never gotten a virus from it. ;)

Virus protection is not perfect by any means

No idea why IE would quit working but you could install it again if you wanted it. Unless you have the IE tab you won't be able to get windows updates if I am not mistaken

The older versions of Firefox utilized some of the same DLLS as IE, so one of the shared files may have gotten corrupted. Doing a repair on it may help.

My computer automatically updates windows, so i dont have to worry about ie doing it for me.

Is the chrome IE?

I get rid of any of the tool bars

I don't know how you could have the updates without IE

Chrome is googles I think and definitely not IE

gotcha. Yea, I have it set up to where it does it automatically. I even double checked to make sure and had no updates available right now (using ie).

If this ever happens again, here is a quick fix.

in the url bar, type in

about:config

find the line:

general.useragent.locale

and change to en-US for us language.
