Hey peter long time no argue lol. I havent actually decided yet but I can tell you whats important to me.....Strength of character, a proven political record, non-socialist programs (hillary and obama are killin me with the required and gov't paid helth care), conviction, intellegence.....and so on...I think Im leaning Guliani's way....THINK lol.

Socialism doesnt work. It is communism in the guise of doing the greater good, not only will socialism break our bank but it will head us down the same road as the U.S.S.R.. we will be broke, deaf, dumb, and blind, in 20 years....look at history man....it doesnt work!

Tell me what countries in Europe are socialist? are you talking about the netherlands? cuz thats the only region that I can think of thats socialist...and they are not completely socialist. They pick and choose what socialist ideals they will use. Also take a country like canada. They are supposed to be an example for socialized health care...yet more canadiens come to the US for dire health care needs than stay and used the public health care there lol....

And your right communism is not "democratic socialism" but when do you stop. I have consistantly said that the socialist ideals in the US are not as bad as "real" socialism. But when do yu stop it? Not all are 100% socialist, but the majority of their programs are, and it just shows that socialism on a differing scale for each country works.

There's no doubt that the Canadians have a questionable health care system, but it could be easily fixed if they got rid of a lot of the bureaucracy.

Canada has a nationalized health care system, where its free. The US does not.

The Canadian system has come under scrutiny since there is a long waiting list for surgery and the like, but its not like the US has a spotless record. A lot of times, poorer people cannot afford even basic health care of medical services.

No...you said that I should use these socialist countries as examples as to how we (the US) should conduct ourselves. BS. Democracy is fundamentally flawed but is better than socialism......socialism does not work. Socialist programs bring a swift ( and at first good) but ultimately a bad change. People in France pay 5 dollars a gallon for gas.....it is the result of socialist programs.

My point is that if I go somewhere to find a product cheaper thats fine. But who cares if I find a bottle of pills cheaper in canada? when it comes to the actual application of medical care we kick their ass and therefore their system doesnt work as weel as ours. Capitalism breeds competition.....socialism breeds complacence.

Very confusing. Over here everyone is entitled to free treatment but if your a rich cunt you go on BUPA and get it better. I guess I'm in favour of the NHS because it might not be the best in the world but at least I dont have to worry about health care in case it costs me $1,000-s of dollars!

the first time I had insurance was in 1998 when I joined the Marine Corps....but I always was taken care of. I had stiches 7 times....and 2 broken bones.....I never went without. It may have taken 4 ever to pay for it but I was taken care of. illegal aliens account for almost half of the medical bills in this country and the same percentage of housed federal incarcerated males. They are still taken care of. socialism does not allow for this cuz there isnt enuff money.....Even tho the taxes raise thru the roof and Im supporting some crach whore who only loves the lighter spark to a dub!

Socialism can exist with democracy. its called Democratic socialism. Look it up.
