finally some good news

had 2 biopsies done on monday

1 came back no cancer, no nothing, no problem

the one on my back came back as a small problem. some of the cells had started mutating so i have to keep an eye on that one. he told me that if it starts to get color to the scar i have to come back and have more removed.

love the fact that my dr calls me on a saturday morning to give me good news!!!!

Question though...why don't they remove the part that's mutating before it turns bad, just incase. sort of like preventative measures rather than waiting and watching to see if it will?

the spot on my back only had a few cells that did, but clean cells around it. so in essence he did get it all, but that doesnt mean that it went deep enough ( as it was just a shave biopsy) so if it starts to get pigment again they will have to cut out all the skin (down to the muscle) in that area

my dr is so anal retentive....and i love it! he also knows that i have a history of misdiagnosis in the past and how i hate to wait for the results! he even pushes them through the lab for me to get them quicker!

Ooooh ok. and ouch.

whats so funny is that from the previous surgeries 3 have been on the right side and only 1 on the left. this part of my back is on the right side, and the other biospy site is on my right calf
