It sounds to me like you aren't attracted to any women. You just choose to be with women because you think it is the right thing to do morally. Sorry if I'm putting words in your mouth.

Hey, whatever you put in his mouth is your... choice... lol :24:

if as a young man you have this problem
as a man you are only attracted to men but you want to be biblically correct in that you have
a girlfriend/wife and have kids but the whole time you are not attracted to her you just pretend
well guess what you are living a lie
and if I'm not mistaking living a lie is not biblically correct

I agree. And furthermore the bible's position isn't as important as most assume. Historically the bible has been used to defend whatever position was popular. Homosexuality is no different. Already people are using the bible to defend homosexuality. The real battle is not fought over the pages of the bible. It's a consciousness raising battle of human rights.

Come on, I am not misinformed. So you are saying that I don't choose to hetro? Do you choose what to eat, dress and where to go out? Or whether to be religious or not?

I forgot to address this earlier... You can choose to go to church, you can choose to follow along, but deep down inside you either believe in something or not. You can act like you are religious for a variety of reasons, but your core beliefs are not a choice. You are exposed to an idea, you evaluate it and you either believe it or you don't, or you are undecided. I don't believe there is a choice regarding spirituality, anyway not a choice like picking pears or apples for a snack.

And for lack of a better phrase, some people are more mystically inclined. Dan Barker, an evangelical preacher turned atheist, says he can still pray himself into a spiritual state where he feels the "Holy Spirit" operating inside. That's just where he falls on the bell shaped curve of mystical inclination. Others couldn't feel the "Holy Spirit" if their life depended on it.

Barker attributes the "Holy Spirit" sensation as some kind of psychological experience instead of an outside force. But most people who fall on the curve at the same place as Barker are probably religious.
