It appears this was all a result of the left being split between parties, which always strengthens the usually one chunk right and makes them look most popular, when it is not really the case (I hope). It's frustrating in politics.

yep voters split...this was one of those times where just two parties what have been better than four.

I know the NDP would have won in my town had the 8000 voters who voted for the Lib's not changed their votes. Conserves only won by a little less than 1000 votes because of the split.

I agree with both of you, even my boyfriend went Liberal and I was thinking "eeek, just do NDP if they have the best chance of winning!". It's sad you have to do a lesser of two evils things, but I don't see a way around it.

It won't happen in our lifetime ans as far as her seat is concerned what's the point. She won't accomplish one thing except to draw a nice salary and all the benefits that go with it.

Harpers darkages and witch burning has already reached my own town. Woman's rights have been taken away from them. No longer can women who need abortions get one done locally at the brand new hospital that opened just a few weeks ago, because of conservative funding.:thumbdown:madBloody religious nuts.

I had thought of voting NDP but I so wanted the liberals to crash and burn that I went with the best choice to defeat them.
The liberal leader spent more time away then he did in the house to vote, he has spent more then 30 years away from Canada and he has called the U.S. his country.
Sorry but if that's the best the liberal party can come up with for a leader, they'll never get my vote. :cool
