Feeling Down & Tired

Sorry, but I'm feeling so damn down and blue. My cat Boop got killed by a car yesterday. The person didn't even stop. The Humane Society called me. My cat Frosty had died a few months ago and Boop had lost her name tag so I put her name tag on Boop.

So when they called and said we have your cat Frosty, I was a little surprised? Then I remembered and asked where they had picked her up they said a block away then told me Boop was dead.

I lost it. I literally got hysterical on the phone and hung up.

There has been sooo much death this year. My cat Frosty, My step mother, my dad, now Boop. Actually all within a few months.

I called my hubby and left a message. He called back and tried to calm me down....I was fairly calm by then.

I've been fighting depression, drinking too much, having trouble finding joy in life, lately. My hubby has been angry/depressed as well, which has not helped.

We had a big fight the night before.....but had a good talk and said some good things so I think we will be okay, it's just MAN LIFE CAN SUCK SOMETIMES.

As I said I'm down.

Hi, I'm only new here but I agree Life can suck.

Our Cats are like our babies. They are our furry children. My Jeremy was put down 2 months ago. It's not easy, and it just brings up losing other loved ones.

I cant pretend to understand losing your parents, that would be the worst thing to feel.

How do you deal with your depression? do you have any creative ways maybe? I write Stories and Poems.

And, while you might feel that no other cat could probably replace Boop, maybe it would be nice to get a new cat. Might cheer you up.

I am so sorry to hear this, it is of course so easy to say time will heal so much harder to cope when you are the one waiting for time to pass and pain to lessen. Try to find calm and peace in small simple things, take a long slow walk in a meadow and just take to time to observe the sky, clouds, trees and flowers. Mother nature is on your side and will provide some distractions from the pain, you just need to allow yourself to see the beauty that surrounds you.

Be well my friend, one day at a time and embrace those close to you that love you.

Sorry you are having a rough go of things. I agree with Siph. Go get you a new cat but make sure it does not remind you of the two you lost.

Awww hun, so sorry to hear your recent loss. And so many in the space of a few months. Life can be nasty sometimes. There seems to be alot of depression lately, so I know how you feel. It is not a nice thing to cope with.

I hope things look up for you. Sounds like you deserve a break.
