The One

Fifteen billion years ago,
Before the beginning,
In the Studio of Eternity
There was a blank canvas,
Nothingness,
Pregnant with the possibility of Everything.
Then - A MIRACLE!
Our Collective Being,
The Divine Artist - the Creator God,
Aching to express, to exist,
Exploded itself/ourself into a cascade of lightselves.
A cosmic orgasm
Big-Banged us into creation,
Perfect in ratios, rhythms, and forms.
The Universe is a storm of light emerging,
Every birthing, ever dying
Plasma selves, atom selves, molecular selves, cell selves,
Conscious lumps of DNA.
Ascending selves scaling evolving chains of Being.
Souls inside brightening,
Hardening into botanical and biological bodies.
Plant self, animal self,
Myself, yourself, ourselves,
Family selves, city self, nation self,
An earth full of eyes sees everything of earth
And we are that!
Planet self, star self, galactic self,
Self as galactic cluster,
Self as entire web of Cosmos
With amnesia.
Our current artistic dilemma is to wake up
To the truth that we are the One Godself,
Creating the Universe - Every day.

Alex Grey - Art Psalms

Untitled

Sun bleached column of rain
Bleeding clouds, seeping through the pastel
A portal opens.

Waves of heat race forward
Intrusive now, a light beams through
Impaling the solipsistic

A single thought gathers momentum
As her screams become intently unfocused
The child of Anil is born

Breathing shallow now
Sight dims to accommodate
So silent this rhythm has become

I'm not big on poetry. I always liked this though. The first version I heard was actually the warcraft one, Alicia's Poem, but I suppose the original is more appropriate since I don't play any more :p

Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there; I do not sleep

I am a thousand winds that blow
I am the diamond glints on snow

I am the sun on ripened grain
I am the gentle autumn rain

When you awaken in the morning’s hush
I am the swift uplifting rush

Of quiet birds in circling flight
I am the soft star-shine at night

Do not stand at my grave and cry
I am not there; I did not die.

That's really lovely.
