Did mine today, natural nails... a must as a massage therapist. I have had acrylic in the past when I did nails full time. I never had them long, and refused to make my clients too long. If you can't wipe your own ass without nailing yourself in your vagina, they are too long.

Such pretty nails in this thread :cool

I tried acrylics in the late 80's. Being able to use my pinky as a screwdriver came in handy but I didn't like what it did to my nails and removed them. Here's my plain, natural nails.

What's the last two long ones for :ninja

:ninja Why, nose picking, of course :cool:D

I've been on vacation for three weeks. I wonder how long those two will last as I go back to work? hmmmmm I'd take bets but it's really not that interesting.:thumbdown

I should also say I used to bite my nails when I was younger. Badly. Very badly. My highschool BFF's mom suggested I stop by letting just my thumb grow out. It worked for me. I used to have small nail beds from the biting. But after decades of not biting, I've got a lot more pink these days...

I fixed my nail-biting problem by getting acrylics. I'm more worried about fucking up my teeth (I seriously have in excess of 10K invested in making my teeth look decent) than biting through that acrylic. I got out of the habit of biting and now I don't do it, even w/o acrylics on. :)

I miss having acrylics. I always had them done as short as possible since I've got a habit of being dangerous with them when they get long and usually a french manicure. It's ridiculously expensive though so I've been back to my real nails for a while. Right now I've got blue polish with sparkles but it's been over a week so they're looking pretty terrible, so no pic.

There is a certain finesse about a woman with natural/well manicured nails that i really like

Staci used to get fake nails back a while ago, now she gets her nails done at least once every 2-3 weeks and damn that shit is expensive! And now with both of our girls tagging along to get manicures with her it can get upwards of 100+tip per trip

And before anyone gets all worked up, the girls only go to get their fingernails painted :p

I knew it was time to file my nails down when i nearly ripped one out changing the bed sheets. i used ot have a bad biting habbit. Never let them get too short but never let thm grow out either. I find it if bordum that makes me do it, I dont have time to be bored anymore.

I really don't like fake nails. They look nice and stuff but I get really annoyed having them stuck on top of my nails, it just feels so weird and uncomfortable.
