It was a general "you", not specifically directed at anyone.

And I don't think you're an asshole, I just don't happen to share your same opinion, is all. I'm obviously not in the majority in that point.

I do find it strange to post that type of thing on facebook or anywhere for that matter. However, I don't know what her intentions or motives were when she began posting the information and pictures. I can definitely understand if it was merely to keep her close friends and family updated on the status of the situation or even a way to just vent and gain some support. People handle certain things differently and not everyone will agree with how it was handled (but who are we to judge?). Either way...this is a sad situation

I'm the kind of person who is always making sure what I do isn't perceived as weird, stupid, or wrong by other people (obsessively so, I can't stand criticism) so I suppose I get "embarrassed" for others when they do something I wouldn't do. It's not even that I personally get offended by any of it, I just go "eek" and feel weird.

We all judge, even to say what she did is normal is a judgment, it's just human nature to form opinions about things. I am not condemning her at all, I don't think she's a bad person for doing this or anything.

Like you, I put a lot of thought into things I say and do. I also can't stand criticism :yuk. I totally understand and can relate to your last post.

To be honest... I believe in her situation she has way bigger things on her mind than whether someone somewhere will think she is weird.
