After months of speculation Trulli is dropped for Petrov....kinda sad as i feel he had plenty more to give, better than most if not all of the pay drivers.

Jarno Trulli has taken the time to thank all at Caterham despite Friday's decision to replace him possibly signaling the end of his F1 career.Trulli, who claimed his one and only grand prix victory at the 2004 Monaco race with Renault, raced for Jordan, Renault and Toyota before making the move over to Tony Fernandes's fledgling F1 team.
Together with Heikki Kovalainen, the Italian ensured that Caterham, previously known as Lotus Racing and Team Lotus, ended each season as the best of the newcomers.
However, in recent months rumours suggested that his place at the team was no longer secure despite being confirmed as a 2012 Caterham driver.
And on Friday the announcement that he was being dropped in favour of Vitaly Petrov finally came.
Trulli, though, insists there are no hard feelings.
"I want to take this chance to thank Tony, Kamarudin, SM Nasarudin, Riad, Mike and everyone in the team for the two seasons we had together," he said.
"From zero we built up and established a solid F1 team. I'm really proud to have been part of it.
"I understand the decision the team has made and I want to wish to the whole team the very best of luck for the season ahead."

Rather sad to see Trulli without a drive but I'm sure he'll be still around to help out and maybe back towards the end of the season.

I read an interesting comment about the Red Bull air duct.

If Adrian Newey is not telling a fib - then in rain races, Sebastian and Mark will have some very wet feet.

People that have impressed me driving in the rain/wet:

Ayrton Senna
Jensen Button (last years Canadian GP - need I say more)
Jean Alesi - he didn't do much but damn, he could drive in the wet on slicks like almost no one else.

Adrian Sutil would always impress me in the wet...for about 3 laps and then he would remind me of his real talent by cocking it up large style:24::24::24:

I think Marcus Winklehock should get another chance at racing. He lead a race for the first time at his first attempt, in the wet, and was on the right tyres at the right time to take the lead!

Your right on that for sure.... if my memory serves me well he was pushed to the side at spyker to make way for Sakon Yamamoto and his bag of money....Yamamoto is as useful as a paper bag hat in a down pour.

I can still remember that European Grand Prix of 2007, especially the rained-out first few laps. Cars sliding off, one playing tag with a tractor, Hamilton getting back into the race and not scoring points and then Marcus Winklehock taking the lead from Raikkonen.

Playing tag with the tractor was the Toro Rosso's....not sure if it was Scott speed or Tonio Luizzi that gave it a light kiss...funny race.

T'was Luizzi. Shame the race wasn't red flagged and finished there, Winklehock would of had the win and a 100% winning success as well as the highest average points per race!

An excellent start to the 2012 calendar.

I felt sorry for
Pastor Maldonado
. I was so hopeful of a good result there too - and it looked likely for so long.

I felt sorry for Schumacher who was looking forward to getting a few points and even challenge for a podium place. Even more sorry about Mally and his last-lap crash. D:
