I don't know what you are seeing but I have never heard of a bullet exploding by pressure. My dad had a muzzle loader and it took a LOT to set that damn rifle off. You could have dropped the damn thing and it wouldn't simply go off and it was inaccurate as hell.

This is your typical news story which people buy all day long.

First off, if that dog is a pit bull, I'm a 36/24/32 115 lb blonde bomb shell that would give half the guys here a BJ.

First thing that caught my eye that would make me wonder about the story was that the primer looked to have a good strike on it. Funny enough, that point was NEVER brought up by the well informed news crew. Couple things about looking at the bullet itself that would make me question some things, but it would be nitpicking and not worth my time LOL

Funny enough, the story should of read "Cartridge explodes in boys hands" or even "Ammunition explodes in boys" hands, NOT bullet explodes in boys hands. Here I'm thinking that someone got ahold of a .50BMG military round LMFAO.

Prime example of how ignorant both the news and some Americans are when it comes to firearms.

On a side note, both the dog and child in the news story should have another owner.

The primer dent immediately caught my attention. Either fired from a pistol not in working order or struck some other way. The cartridge did not explode from being squeezed. The rest of the article was as meticulously researched as that one thing. Amazing how many morons will be calling for banning of live ammunition based on a poorly done fluff piece.

Reminded me of the piece a few years ago about the U.S. Troops firing rounds into a residence in Iraq. When the woman of the house showed the "bullets" it was unfired cartridges. Which begs the question..Did the troops throw them at the home?
