* Basic question :

Should sex education continue to be taught in schools ?
Should the educator have any means necessary in teaching sex education ?

Perhaps we should go back to old school and talk to our kids about the birds and the bees and become new members @ offtopicz. *

*smh* In a world where 16 year olds who get pregnant out of wedlock are CELEBRATED and given their own TV show, I think we need MORE sex education, not less...IJS

I would sooner it was taught in school than have kids learning on the street. Most never experience farm life so have no idea what breeding (sex) is about. Telling them about diseases to be aware of is also a good idea so they don't end up with a lifetime disease.

They are being somewhat rough on the guy....Lets face it with science and biology reproduction is going to be brought up.

Yeh, we shouldn't have the science teacher explaining such things in biology class. That's best left to the basketball coach to explain it in Health class. :jk

It's a good thing that whoever reported him didn't see our Anatomy & Physiology textbook. It has color photos of a woman giving birth! :eek

Actually in this case the health teacher declined to teach it{as he felt uncomfortable} so this guy took the honors and has been teaching it for 17 years.

I am curious as to when the word Vagina become non politically correct....what brought this about is a student wrote a presentation and had a mouth with a tongue sticking out for a vagina....he had to correct her as that was not the vagina....Perhaps he should start using street language to keep the parents happy

I joined the group on FB. There are several "locals" weighing in on the situation. Apparently one of the ladies involved in the complaint has a history of trying to get teachers fired. Of course, that's just hearsay.
