This was proven to me once again this week. Well, if you all recalled, I recently got fired from my job. It was kind of a huge relief to me because I had soo much stress at work and I just wanted to quit, but didn't because I thought it would be foolish, since I am pregnant and should probably save all the money i can. Anyways...last friday my husband's boss (who doesnt know that i am not working anymore) decided he was going to give him a $10,000 raise!!! He hasn't even been with the company for a year! Maybe 6 months! That is just HUGE to me. I think this is a sign that staying home will be ok for me. I only made about $18,000/year at the bank anyways, so this makes up for a lot of it. Plus, we don't need to save $2000 a month like we were doing before, we can cut the savings in half and we will still be doing well.
 
it's wrong how you were treated though Clare, but yes, I always say the same thing too - things always do happen for a reason. Good that Matt has made some extra money and that you will actually be better off. :)

What was the excuse to fire you hun?
 
oh, i actually was fired from something that happened a month ago...somehow $500 was missing and the back office never found it. They never accused me of stealing, but with $500 missing they don't take any chances. I honestly think I mistyped a deposit...like someone deposited 1000 in cash or something and i accidently typed 1500...that would make my drawer $500 short and unless that person actually said something about it (which they wont since it benefits them) then it just makes my drawer look short. It supposedly had nothing to do with anything else, and i talked to employees from another branch and they said this was strict policy and it was probably not discrimination against me or a way to just try and get me fired.

Oh crikey - I remember you posting now, when you had some problems before with getting it to add up - convenient now youa re pregnant though eh?
 
I could never do the stay at home thing lol. But if thats what works for you, I'm happy for you! It'll be nice having that money without having to work your butt off while youre pregnant...Enjoy your time off hun, when you have that kid you'll be busier than ever lol!
