So I was round picking up my best friends wee girl this morning. Left my phone on silent in their bedroom while we ate bacon rolls in the living room. I went to get my bag and see I've 2 missed calls from my brother. Unusual, especially at 10am. I ring him back and he tells me my dad has fallen and had to be taken to hospital in an ambulance with a suspected broken leg.
This is unlike my family, we are not a family who break bones. So anyway, I carry on my bits and bobs, go paint shopping and such. My mum texts to tell me that it is in fact a broken ankle. He had to have surgery to manipulate it to get a cast on and he needs a pin in it, so he will be in overnight. So I am now going to wrestle a 2 year old into my spare bed to get her to take a nap so we can go visit him later.

Oh and I have an essay due in on Monday and it's not finished yet...stressful day.
