Which one should I do?

This one I don't have a pattern for, but think I can work out how to do it. I can do it in a very similar color, or stick to my original grey idea. (Mom's a fan of neutrals.)



Or, I can try to knit this one. I have the pattern, I can do all the stitches; it's just frustrating. It would for sure be in grey.

I like the first one and I think it would look quite nice in gray.

I like both. But for a gift I would go with the first one because it's more fun .

I am at work and can see the second scarf but funnily enuf not the first, weird huh?
